Welcome “Tripawd” Max

Just before Thanksgiving, we got a “new to us” dog, Max. He had to have one of his legs amputated due to an injury he sustained before he arrived at the shelter. Three-legged dogs are known as a “tripawds” in the dog-owner community. Regardless, that doesn’t stop him in the least!

I recently spoke about a cancelled kidney donation surgery due to FAA flight groundings. That surgery occurred on January 25th. I’ll probably talk about the surgery and recovery in another post. In any case, I’ve decided to try my hand at digital photography and Lightroom while I’m recuperating.

What’s a better subject than a family pet? Probably a bunch of things. However, I’m really enamored with this picture of Max resting. It’s a bit late, but, welcome to the family Max! Full resolution picture can be found on Flickr.
